Ann Louise (Mellinger) Lane, of Gettysburg, entered into rest at Transitions Healthcare on Friday, January 12, 2024 at the age of 83. She was the wife of the late George E. Lane who died on July 16, 2012.

Ann was born in Fawn Township on July 12, 1940 to the late Landis R. and Eleanor W. (Jamison) Mellinger. She was a housewife who enjoyed watching her favorite TV shows and spending time in her garden.

She leaves her daughter, Georgia Ann Lane of Fairfield and her sisters, Connie J. Crull of Yoe, Lynne E. Mellinger of York and her brothers, Terry W. Mellinger of Red Lion and Dale R. Mellinger of York. She was preceded in death by her brother, Leroy L. Mellinger.

A graveside service for Ann will take place at Susquehanna Memorial Gardens, 250 Chestnut Hill Road, York, PA 17402 on Friday, January 19, 2024 at 2:00 pm. If you wish to attend the service, please arrive at the entrance of the cemetery at 1:45 pm. Rev. Kelly Shiflett of Kreutz Creek Presbyterian Church will be officiating. Wagner-Elfner and Burg Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 134 W. Broadway, Red Lion is assisting the family with arrangements.
