Arlene H. (Sheaffer) Snoke, formerly of Lower Windsor, went from life to Life Eternal at Trinity Hills of Knoxville, on Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at 6:16 PM at the age of 89. She was the wife of the late Clarence E. Snoke who entered into rest in April of 2002.
Born in Shippensburg on December 21, 1931, Arlene was the daughter of the late Ruben B. and Rozella (Hoover) Sheaffer. She was a nursing assistant at York Hospital where she retired from in 1988 after 15 years of service. Arlene was a longtime member of Mt. Pisgah Church until she moved to Tennessee. She was a Lady Lioness of East Prospect Lions Club and enjoyed spending time with her family, eating, relaxing and watching TV.
Arlene leaves behind her daughter, Debra K. Gouker and husband, Stanley, of Corryton, TN and her son, Michael L. Snoke and wife, Gina, of York, as well as her five grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sister, Carolyn Noland and brother, Paul Sheaffer.
A viewing for Arlene will take place on Friday, December 3, 2021 from 11 to 12 PM at Burg Funeral Home, Inc., 134 W. Broadway, Red Lion. A Service of Honor and Praise for Arlene will begin at 12 with Pastor Rodney E. Anderson officiating. Burial will take place at Canadochly Cemetery.
Contributions in memory of Arlene may be offered to Lions Club of East Prospect, 166 Boyd Road, Wrightsville, PA 17368.
