Betty Jane (McMillion) Ewell, of York, formerly of Red Lion, entered into rest on Thursday, October 1, 2026, at the age of 79.

Born in York, Betty was the daughter of the late Lester Ray and Margaret (Lloyd) Ruth McMillion. Throughout her life, she worked in manufacturing for various companies and, many years ago, also owned and operated her own cosmetology business.

Betty enjoyed trips to Ocean City, Maryland, and could often be found outside working in the yard and pulling weeds. She also enjoyed crafting and going to yard sales. Above all, Betty treasured the time she spent with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Robert Ewell of Brogue, Bonnie Hedrick of Red Lion, Renea Miller and her husband, Mike, of York, and Christopher Ewell and his wife, Leilani, of Mifflintown; her grandchildren, Dustin Ewell of Brogue, Justin Hedrick of Red Lion, Jennifer Hedrick and Kassandra of Red Lion, Devin Adams and his wife, Brittany, of York, and Logan Ewell and his wife, Madison, of Mifflintown; and her great-grandchildren, Aiden, Mia, Wrenley, Winsley, and Jonathan. Betty was preceded in death all of her siblings.

Services and burial will be private at the convenience of the family. Wagner-Elfner and Burg Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 3070 Cape Horn Road, Red Lion, is assisting the family with arrangements.
