Carol E. Brown, formerly of Red Lion, entered into rest on Monday, November 14, 2022, at 7:45 pm from the Gardens of Memory Care in Easton, PA, at the age of 87. She was the former wife of the late David B. Sharp who entered into rest in 2002. She was born in Stewartstown, on December 13, 1934, and was the daughter of the late Norman L. and Gladys (Anderson) Brown. She was a secretary for the US government. She enjoyed putting puzzles together, working with ceramics and spending time with her family. Carol and David had four children, Tamara J. Moore of York, Michael B. Sharp and his wife Marsha of Monroe, GA, Scott A. Sharp and wife Janice of Wrightsville and David B. Sharp, Jr., and companion Lesly Knight of York. She was the loving grandmother of nine grandchildren, James Moore, David Moore, Kalen Vanderhorst, April Ann King, April Lynn Shoff, Tracey Jones, Angela Krebs, Jessica Sharp and David Sharp III, and seventeen great grandchildren, Sofia and Samuel, Alabama, Jackson, Quinley , Emmalyn, Nathan, Kensley, Jakaih, Jakorey, Keegan, Rylee, Tyler, Avery, Wyatt, Chloe, and Ella Gene. Carol was preceded in death by her great granddaughter, Nora Gene Sharp, and her son in law Thomas Moore. There will be no viewing. Family and friends are invited to extend their condolences on Monday, November 28th, during the visitation, from 1-2 pm at Burg Funeral Home, Inc., 134 W. Broadway. A Memorial Service to Honor and Praise Carol's life will begin at 2 pm at the funeral home with Rev. Stephany S. Sechrist, a Retired United Methodist pastor, officiating. Burial will take place in Stewartstown Cemetery following the service.
