Cathryn "Liz" V. (Laucks) Tomlinson, of York, went to be with her Lord on Sunday, December 8, 2024, from York South Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation Center at the age of 93. She was the wife of Capt. Donald R. Tomlinson, who passed away on January 25, 1968.

Liz was born in Windsor on March 16, 1931, to the late Luther and Catherine (Fitzkee) Laucks. She was a devoted attendee of Living Word Community Church, where she was baptized in 1994 and actively volunteered. Liz was also a proud member of the Ladies Auxiliary Post 556 and the Pleasureville American Legion Post 799. Liz volunteered her time as well at Country Meadows of York – South where she was a Meadow Angel, welcoming and orienting new residents to the campus.

She is survived by her daughters, Beverly Tomlinson of Hellam, and Cecelia Rudisill and her husband, Ronald of York, and her son, Adam Tomlinson of York. Liz will be dearly missed by her grandchildren, Jada Siegfried and her husband, Edwin, of Fargo, ND, and Chase Tomlinson and his partner, Brandon Lowe, of Dallastown, as well as her sister, Sylvia Laucks, of York. She was preceded in death by her 12 brothers and sisters.

A viewing for Liz will take place on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, starting at 10:00 am at Wagner-Elfner and Burg Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 134 W. Broadway, Red Lion. A funeral service will begin at 11:00 am with Pastor Aaron Kunce of Living Word Community Church officiating. Burial will be private in McKendree United Methodist Cemetery.
