Obituary

Charlene M. (Kline) Eveler, of Wrightsville, went from this earthly life to eternal life with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, November 2, 2021, at 10:55 am at Oak Leaf Manor North Nursing Home in Lancaster at the age of 82. She was the wife of the late Robert P. Eveler, Sr. who joined his Lord and Savior on August 14, 1993. She was born in York on November 27, 1938 and was the daughter of the late Vernon James and Marie (Hartman) Kline. Charlene was a seamstress at the former Danskin retiring in 1994 after 42 years of service. She was a member of East Side Bible Church for 22 years where she was very involved, serving as a welcomer. She also taught Sunday School and was involved with Bible Study. Charlene loved going to the mountains with her husband, traveling, playing games and being a caregiver to anyone who needed some assistance, whether it be taking food, just visiting, or assisting in any way. Her family was her world and she loved spending time with them. She and Robert had two children, a son, Robert P. Eveler, Jr and his long-time companion, Rosemarie Wittensoldner, of Landisville, PA and a daughter, Jeanne M. Grove and her husband, Danny E., of York. She was the loving grandmother to Jacob Eveler, of Utah, Craig Grove, of York and Joseph Eveler, of York. Charlene was one of six children. She leaves her sisters, Deb Waples, of York and Judy Tom, of York along with numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Lanny Kline, Shirley Altland and Verna Jane Chaney. A Service of Honor and Praise for Charlene will be on Tuesday, November 9th, at 11 am at Burg Funeral Home, Inc., 134 W. Broadway, Red Lion. Viewing will begin at 10 am until the start of the service at 11 am. Her pastor, Rev. Randy W. Panebaker, will officiate. Burial will follow the service at Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Charlene may be offered to: American Heart Association, 610 Community Way, Lancaster, PA 17603.
