Charlotte R. (Beaverson) Grim, formerly of Red Lion, entered into eternal rest after a lengthy illness on Sunday, May 5, 2013 at 4:41 a.m., at Pleasant Acres at the age of 80. She was the wife of Gene "Grimmie" L. Grim, Sr., who entered into rest on February 7, 1985. Born in Windsor Twp. on February 18, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Merlin and Sadie (Mundis) Beaverson. Charlotte worked in various cigar factories in her early years and was a co-owner of the former Grim's Sunoco in Red Lion with her late husband. Her last job was at Cracker Barrel as a 4-star hostess, retiring in 2006. She is survived by a son, Gene "Snookie" L. Grim, Jr. and his wife Cindy of Red Lion; four grandchildren, Melissa Gotwalt (Dan) of Manchester, Gene L. Grim, III (Stacy) of Hellam, Jennifer Grove (Eric) of Felton, and Elizabeth Grim of Red Lion; seven great-grandchildren, Charlotte, Owen, Ethan, Aubrey, Alexis, Bryce, and Georgia; a sister, Zona Strickler of York; and many special nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two siblings, Robert Beaverson and Frances Burke. Visitation will be 9 to 10 a.m. Friday at Covenant Moravian Church, 901 Cape Horn Road, York. The funeral service will be 10 a.m. Friday at the church with Pastor Jeff A. Coppage officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Rose Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be offered to Covenant Moravian Church, 901 Cape Horn Road, York, PA 17402. Charlotte was a wonderful mother and grandmother. Her family was very important to her. She enjoyed taking bus trips, traveling and camping. She had such a caring personality, if you met her once you loved her. She will be sadly missed by many.
