Charmaine R. Shoff went from life to Life Eternal unexpectedly on Monday February 5, 2018 at 11:01 a.m. at York Hospital at the age of 75. She was born in Chanceford Township on March 14, 1942 and was the daughter of the late Samuel F. and Mary R. (Smith) Shoff. Charmaine attended the Jevohah Witness Congregration. She enjoyed playing cards, and putting puzzles together. Charmaine is survived by a brother Junior L. Shoff of York, and a sister Helen McCalister of York. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Charmaine was preceded in death by 5 siblings, Edwin Shoff, Walter Shoff, Marlin Shoff, Betty Smeltzer, and Annia Maria Hugh. There will be no viewing. Cremation will take place with Burg Funeral Home, Inc., 134 W. Broadway Red Lion. A graveside service to Honor and Praise Charmaine will be announced at a later date. Burial will be at Shoff's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider offering something to the York County SPCA, in memory of Charmaine as she loved animals, 3159 Susquehanna Trail North, York, PA 17406. It's difficult when someone who is loved cannot be there, but the memories that are made and shared will keep a loved one near. And God, with loving wisdom, will be there to guide us through. He'll help us meet tomorrow and He'll give us strength anew. Charmaine was a very loving person who was very happy all the time. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
