Christine M. (Brady) Grim, 53, of York, passed away on Monday, February 6, 2023, at her residence surrounded by family. She was the loving wife of Harold "Chip" H. Grim, of York, to whom she was married for 24 years.
She was born in York on December 21, 1969, and was the daughter of the late Peter A. and Elizabeth "Betty" (Huben) Brady. Christine graduated from York Catholic High School, Class of 1987 and attended York College of Pennsylvania. She was employed by York County Children and Youth as a Fiscal Analyst for 20 years. Christine was active in her community. As a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, York, Christine was a RCIA for Children teacher as well as a volunteer for the Church Carnival. She enjoyed organizing the Angel Tree for York County Children and Youth Services benefiting the foster children in the county, she was the scorekeeper for St Joseph youth baseball as well as for the Dallastown Cougars. Her favorite pastime was sitting on her back porch reading and spending time with her family.
In addition to her husband Chip, Christine leaves her two children, Garrett J. Grim and his Fiancé, Tori Echternach of York, and Amber L. Nissley (Justin) of East Prospect. She was the loving grandmother of two grandchildren, Zander and Nova. She was one of six children, leaving her siblings - Peter Brady (Susan Force), Diane Brady, Elizabeth Hull), Lorraine Downie and Paul Brady (Charlene) all of York, along with numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins and her mother-in-law Elsie Heiss of York.
Cremation will take place with Burg Funeral Home, Inc., 134 W. Broadway, Red Lion. A Celebration of Life Service for Christine will be held Friday, February 17th at 7:00 pm, with visitation for family and friends from 6:00 pm-7:00 pm at the funeral home. Deacon Ken Hamilton, her cousin, will officiate. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
