Obituary

YORK Christine L. Wise-Allen, 50, entered into rest unexpectedly as a result of a motor vehicle accident while visiting friends in Huntington, Texas on Monday, April 11, 2011, at 9:05 a.m. She was the wife of Kevin K. Allen of York, to whom she was married on October 12, 1991. Christine was born in York on August 28, 1960, and was the daughter of Clair E. and Theresa A. (Noel) Wise of Dallastown. She worked 25 years for York Hospital/Wellspan in many nursing roles, including numerous ICU's, Community Health Center and Lab Services, until January 2010. Christine was a 1979 graduate of Dallastown High School, a 1989 graduate of the Academy of Medical Arts, and a 2005 graduate of Duvall University. She was a registered medical assistant, certified phlebotomist, and health insurance specialist. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of York. She was also a member of the Registry of American Medical Technologists and a certified grief counselor. She was an avid scrap booker and photographer. In addition to her husband and parents, she is survived by one daughter, Katrina Elizabeth Allen and her friend, Bradley McFarland; one son, Kyle R. M. Allen, all of York; three sisters, Peggy Wise of Tennessee, Karen Ramer and husband, Tim of York, and Sandra Stough and husband, Dale of Dallastown; two brothers-in-law, Rob Allen of York and Eric Allen of Boston, Mass.; three nieces, Shannon Branin, Amber Ramer, and Becky Ramer, all of York; and one nephew, Dylan P.C. Allen of Brooklyn, N.Y. Visitation will be on Sunday April 17, 2011, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Burg Funeral Home, Inc., 134 W. Broadway, Red Lion, and Monday from 9 to 10 at First Presbyterian Church , 225 E. Market St., York, PA 17403. The service will be Monday at 10 a.m. at the church, with her pastor, the Rev. Dr. John E. Morgan, officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. The family has requested no flowers. Memorial contributions may be offered to any Susquehanna Bank, checks payable to Kevin K. Allen, "In Memory of Christine L. Wise-Allen", to go toward college for her children.Chris will most be remembered for her loving nature. She loved her children more than life itself. She was the second mom to many. She had compassion for all, deserving or not. She loved life and she loved people and saw the good in everyone she met. This world has lost an angel and she will be sadly missed by all of her many friends and colleagues who knew her and loved her.The family wishes to extend thanks for the many prayers calls and cards during this time of loss.Please know that "ALL lives on that love remembers
