Dale Levere Frey, formerly of Red Lion, entered into God's care on Saturday, September 1, 2018 at 3:58 am at Manor Care Dallastown at the age of 90. He was the husband of Phyllis B. (Fillmore) Frey, of East Prospect, to whom he married on December 31, 1949, celebrating 69 years together. He was born in Lower Chanceford Twp. on June 8, 1928 and was the son of the late Luther J. And Dorothy E. (Shoff) Frey. He graduated from Red Lion High School, Class of 1945. During high school, he was very active in sports and played baseball for the Red Lion Legion. Dale worked in printing for Standard Register, as a rubber plate maker, retiring after 30 years of service. He was an avid tennis player and a member of the USTA , tennis association. He enjoyed bowling and playing golf, being in the outdoors and gardening but most of all being with his family. Dale was lifetime member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Red Lion. Besides his wife, Phyllis, he leaves his two sons, Larry D. Frey of Red Lion and David R. Frey of East Prospect and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Gary L. Frey. Viewing for Dale will be on Thursday, September 6th from 10 to 11 am at Burg Funeral Home, Inc., 134 W. Broadway, Red Lion. A Service of Honor and Praise for Dale will begin at 11 am at the funeral home with his pastor, Rev. Timothy A. Funk officiating. Burial will be at Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be offered to St. Paul's UM Church, 45 First Ave., Red Lion, PA. 17356 or to Kaltreider-Benfer Library: 147 S. Charles St., Red Lion, PA. 17356.
