Daniel R. Burg, of York, passed away on Tuesday, August 23, 2022, at 3 am at UPMC Memorial Hospital after a valiant fight with cancer at the age of 55. He was the loving husband of Ann M. (Wertz) Burg, whom he married on Feb. 14, 1987, celebrating 35 years together. He was born in York on April 6, 1967 and was the son of Margaret L. (Bouillon) Burg of York, and the late Glenn A. Burg. Dan graduated from Northeastern High School, Class of 1985. He served his country in the United States Army and was employed as a printer, for Fry Communications in Mechanicsburg for 25 years. Besides his mother and his wife, Dan leaves his son, Brandon S. Burg, and his daughter, Amanda N. Burg, both of York, and was the loving grandfather to Amoura Burg. He has a sister, Susan R. Burg Myers of West Newton, PA, along with a nephew, Joshua A. Feo and nieces, Tessa E. Myers and Layla M. Myers. He also leaves his father-in-law, brothers-in-law, and sisters-in-law along with several nieces and nephew of the Wertz family. According to Dan's wishes, there will not be a funeral. The family invites you to attend a Celebration of Life gathering in his honor on Monday, August 29, 2022. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 pm, to share stories and special memories, at Zion's View Athletic Field building, 140 Copenhaffer Road, York, PA 17404. Burg Funeral Home, Inc., 134 W. Broadway, Red Lion will be assisting the family with the arrangements. Burial will take place in East Prospect Riverview Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
