Darlene Mae (Measley) McGlaughlin of Red Lion was escorted to her eternal home on the wings of an angel on Saturday, January 30, 2021, at 5:25 pm at Wellspan York Hospital at the age of 74. She was the wife of William L. McGlaughlin who she married on September 25, 1996, celebrating 24 years together. She was born in Pennsylvania on September 21, 1946 and was the daughter of the late Ross and Lucretia (Bolton) Measley. Darlene was a homemaker and a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary in York. She loved going to the shore and being on the beach, fishing, riding motorcycles with her husband and spending time with her family. Besides her husband, Darlene leaves behind her three children to cherish her memory, Billy L. Mitchell (Michelle) of Brogue, Tommy A. Mitchell (Debbie) of Red Lion and Vicki L. Buchar (Todd) of State College. She was the loving grandmother of four grandsons and three great granddaughters. She also has two siblings, Janet Schriver of Shrewsbury and Ross "Sonny" Measley of Belair, MD., along with nieces and nephews and her loving dog, Zoey, who she adored. She was preceded in death by a sister, Mary and her dog, Baby Girl. Cremation will take place with Burg Funeral Home, Inc., 134 W. Broadway, Red Lion. Services and burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
