Darothy A. (Hostler) Neff, of York, went to her eternal home from Wellspan York Hospital on the morning of Tuesday, December 10, 2024, at the age of 101. She was the wife of the late Glenn L. Neff who died on March 16, 2012, and Kenneth A. Eppley who died on April 22, 1972.

Born in Woodbine on September 28, 1923, Darothy was the daughter of the late J. Charles and Reba R. (Howett) Hostler. She took great pride in her work as a farmer for over 20 years and also held roles at Rutter's, New Way Cleaners, and Anstine's Candy Box. Darothy will be fondly remembered for her exceptional knitting, her talent in the kitchen, and her skill as a baker. She generously gave her time volunteering with Stephen Ministries and Meals on Wheels and found joy tending to her garden. Darothy was a devoted member of St. Paul's Church of Red Lion.

She leaves her granddaughters, Kathy Bowen and husband, Alexander Gibson of York and Jennifer Dawson and husband, Andre of Florida, as well as her grandsons, Charlie Heller and Michael Doran, both of York. She will be missed by her great-grandchildren, Penelope and Eloise Gibson, Marissa Miller and husband, Jeffrey, all of York, and Amanda Arcuri-King and husband, Kevin of Florida. She leaves her three 3 great-great-grandchildren, as well as her nieces and nephews. Darothy was preceded in death by her daughter, Jan, her son, Martin, her granddaughters, Debbie and Leanne, her brother, Walter, and her sisters, Marian and Evelyn.

A visitation will take place on Friday, December 13, 2024, beginning at 10:00 am at Wagner-Elfner and Burg Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 134 W. Broadway, Red Lion. A funeral service will start at 11:00 am with Pastor Chris Nauta of St. Paul's Church of Red Lion officiating. Burial will follow the service in St. Paul's Wolf's Church Cemetery.
