Dawn L. (Abel) Leiphart, of Dallastown, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, September 15th, at 4:17 am at her residence with her husband and son by her side at the age of 87. She was the wife of Luther S. Leiphart, of Dallastown, to whom she married on May 10, 1953, celebrating 69 years of marriage together. She was born in Wrightsville, on January 7, 1935 and was the daughter of the late Abraham and Isabelle (Martzel) Abel. Dawn was a homemaker who enjoyed taking care of her family, reading the Bible, praying, and sharing her love of the Lord with everyone. Besides her husband, Luther, she also leaves her son, Paul Leiphart of Dallastown and a granddaughter, Sharon Leiphart. Viewing will be on Wednesday, September 21st, from 6-7 pm at Burg Funeral Home, Inc., 134 W. Broadway, Red Lion. A Service of Honor and Praise for Dawn will begin at 7 pm at the funeral home, with Rev. David D. Tietje, pastor of St. John's United Church of Christ in Red Lion, officiating.
