Dean L. Heffner, of Windsor, closed his eyes on Monday, at 12:44 am and went to his eternal home with his Lord and Savior at the age of 80, with his companion, Kathy L. (Grabowicz) Fauland by his side at their residence. He was born in Chanceford Township on September 16, 1941 and was the son of the late Walter G. and Florence M. (Heise) Heffner. From a very young age, Dean worked on farms near his family's home. In later years, he was a welder, scuba diver, and worked at the former Allis-Chalmers, and then retiring from Windsor Township after 35 years, the last 18 of which he was the township supervisor. He enjoyed fishing, boating, traveling, and spending time with his family. He was a United States Marine Corp Veteran. Dean leaves behind his companion, Kathy, his son, Stephen Heffner of Washington State. He also leaves to cherish his memory, Kathy's son, Scott Fauland and his wife Danniele of Tucson, AZ and their two children, Felix and Asher. Cremation took place with Burg Funeral Home, Inc., 134 W. Broadway, Red Lion. A Graveside Service to Honor and Praise Dean's life will be on Wednesday, April 6, 2022, at 9 am, at Windsor Cemetery. Those wishing to attend should meet at the cemetery. Rev. Stephanie Sechrist, Retired United Methodist Pastor will be officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Dean's memory may be offered to your favorite charity.
