Debra A. Leiphart, of Red Lion, left her earthly life to begin her eternal life with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at 8:00 AM at her residence at the age of 65. She was born on March 4, 1955 and was the daughter of the late Richard E. and Mary A. (Dietz) Leiphart.
Debra graduated from Eastern high School, Class of 1974. She enjoyed going on cruises with her sister where they made some memorable and lasting memories. She was a very loving and giving person & would always be the first one there to help others who needed something, often putting others needs before her own. She is remembered as affectionately giving hugs as a way of greeting her family and friends.
Deb leaves her two siblings to cherish her memory, sister, Karen D. Hake of York, and brother Richard E. Leiphart, Jr. and his wife Deborah of York. She was very close to her nieces and nephews, all of whom she fondly referred to as her "grandkids": Dwayne Hake (Amanda) of Windsor, Jason Hake (Megan) of Windsor, Derek Hake (Cally) of Felton, Alicia Harrington (Donald) of Red Lion, Cassie Irvin (Matt) of York and Bobby Leiphart (Lauren) of Hellam, along with numerous great nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her yellow lab, who was her four-legged, furry daughter, "Strawberry", and who was faithfully by her side as Debra took her Lord's hand when she heard Him call.
Cremation will take place with Burg Funeral Home, Inc., 134 W. Broadway, Red Lion. A Graveside Service to Honor and Praise Debra's life will be held on Wednesday, January 27th at 4 pm, at East Prospect Riverview Cemetery. Everyone attending the service is asked to please meet at the cemetery prior to the start of the service and to wear a mask & observe social distancing.
