IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Diana M.
(Urey) Campbell
August 15, 1960 – February 4, 2025
Diana M. (Urey) Campbell, of Red Lion, died peacefully at her cousin's home in Dover on February 4, 2025, at the age of 64. She was the wife of the late Charles E. Campbell, who died on October 28, 2020.
Diana was born on August 15, 1960, in York, to Yvonne M. (Alloway) of Red Lion and the late George L. Urey, Sr. She graduated from York Vo-Tech, Class of 1978, and previously worked as the assistant manager at Turkey Hill in Red Lion prior to her position at Dentsply, where she worked as a molder.
Diana had a deep fondness for nature, especially frogs, and she was happiest when spending time outdoors. She enjoyed camping and loved going out to eat. One of the greatest joys in Diana's life was her role as "Yaya" to her grandchildren. She poured her heart into being a loving and devoted grandmother, creating cherished memories with them. She had a great love for her pet birds.
Above all, Diana valued her time with family. Whether it was gathering for special occasions or just enjoying quiet moments together, she was always happiest when surrounded by her loved ones. Diana was a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church.
Diana is survived by her daughter, Bethann M. Smith, and her husband, Justin, of Felton. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren, Ryker and Elliana Smith, both of Felton. She leaves her brother, George L. Urey, Jr., of Red Lion. Diana was deeply cared for during her final months by her cousin, Ada Hite, and husband, Kenny, of Dover, who devoted themselves to ensuring Diana had everything she needed, offering both physical and emotional support as she peacefully transitioned. Their unwavering care and dedication brought Diana comfort during this time. She was preceded in death by her younger sister, Beth A. Urey.
A viewing for Diane will take place on Thursday, February 13, 2025, from 10:00 – 11:00 am at Wagner-Elfner and Burg Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 134 W. Broadway, Red Lion.
