Diane L. (Granruth) Henning, of Red Lion, passed from this earthly life to start her heavenly life, unexpectedly, from COPD, on Friday, February 18, 2022, at Wellspan York Hospital at 1:00 am at the age of 72. She was the wife of the late Daniel E. Henning who passed away in September of 1980. She was born in Baltimore City on November 23, 1949 and was the daughter of the late Kenneth W., Sr, and Annette V. (Jenkins) Granruth. Diane loved to read, study and learn all she could about various subjects. She loved to go to church, but not just one church, she enjoyed visiting all denominations, learning from each one of them. Diane loved helping others, in life by donating to the Blind, and volunteering. She continued her generosity in death by donating to the Gift of Life. Diane also wrote poetry, some of which has been published. She is remembered as being a very nice person to all who knew her and will be greatly missed, but mostly by her family whom she adored. Diane has two children, Jennifer L. Henning (Jeff) and Daniel E. Henning, both of Red Lion. She is the grandmother of Samantha Buterbaugh and the sister of Kenneth W. Granruth, Jr (Debra) of Florida and Robert Granruth (Revonda) of Hanover and aunt to several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her two brothers, Bruce and Roger Granruth and her sister, Joyce Granruth. Viewing will be held on Friday, February 25th, from 9-10 am at Burg Funeral Home, Inc. 134 W. Broadway, Red Lion. A Service of Honor and Praise for Diane will begin at 10 am with Rev. David D. Tietje, pastor of St. John's United Church of Christ in Red Lion, officiating.
