Donald E. Frey, Jr. entered into rest after a brief illness on Saturday, July 25 at 8:20 p.m. at Manor Care Dallastown at the age of 52. Donald was born in York on May 3, 1963, and was the son of Donald E., Sr. and Barbara A. (Garner) Frey of Red Lion. Donald graduated from Lancaster Bible College receiving a Bachelor's degree and was a teacher at the former Lighthouse Church, now known as Cape Horn Christian School for four years. He was also employed at Johnson Controls in York for 20+ years and was a member of Arlington EC Church in Red Lion. Surviving besides his parents, Donald and Barbara of Red Lion, are a sister, Melanie L. Watts (Robert D.) of York Springs; niece, Alexa L. Watts; and a nephew, Jonathan I. Watts; and aunts, Donna Knaub of Felton, Joan Frey of Windsor, Roberta Frey of Manchester; and his uncle, Robert C. Frey and wife Sandra of Missouri; numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by two uncles, Charles T. and Paul Frey. There will be no viewing. Cremation will take place with Burg Funeral Home, Inc., 134 W. Broadway, Red Lion, assisting the family with the arrangements. A Memorial Service of Honor and Praise for Donald will be scheduled at a later date and will be held at his church, Arlington EC Church in Red Lion. His pastor, Rev. Sterling I. Trimmer, will officiate at the service. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
