Obituary

Donald C. Taylor, Sr., of Lower Windsor Township, died peacefully in his sleep on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at York Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation. He was 72 years old. Donald was the husband of the late Sandra M. Taylor, who died on October 7, 1987.

Born in York, on August 13, 1952, Donald was the son of the late Alan Alton Siple and Violet Mae Louise Taylor. He dedicated over 45 years of his life to working as a skilled diesel mechanic. Throughout his career, he was employed by Fitz and Smith and later retired from Punctual Services in Wrightsville. Donald had a deep appreciation for antique automobiles and enjoyed attending car shows. He was also an avid fan of Western films and found great joy in the outdoors, especially while hunting and fishing. Donald was a longtime member of the NRA.

He is survived by his loving children: twin daughters Zoe R. Taylor and Madison L. Taylor; daughter Dawn Marie Warner; and son Donald C. Taylor, Jr. Donald was a proud grandfather to Gabrielle M. Taylor, Isabelle E. Taylor, Dakota R. Taylor, Sebastian L. Warner, and Nathan M. Klopp. His legacy continues through his seven great-grandchildren: Avah, Venus, Eleonora, Franklin IV, Grayson, Brooklyn, and Natalie. In addition, he leaves behind a host of extended family members and friends.

Services and burial will be private and held at the convenience of the family at Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. Wagner-Elfner and Burg Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 134 W. Broadway, Red Lion, is assisting the family with the arrangements.
