Donald J. Sterner, of Red Lion, passed away on Saturday, March 18, 2017 at Colonial Manor Nursing Home at the age of 75. He was the husband of Virginia M. (Hess) Sterner of Dallastown. Donald was born on January 7, 1942 and was the son of the late Jeremiah S. and Ethel (Hillgass) Sterner. He was a general mechanic and worked at McCroy's Store for 29yrs. Besides his wife, he leaves a daughter – Brenda L. Sterner of York; 2sons – Mark A Sterner of Hanover and Timothy S. Sterner of East Berlin; 2grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; a sister- Mary E. Bange and husband, Philip of Spring Grove. He was preceded in death by a sister, Martha A. Sterner. There will be no viewing; Cremation will take place with Burg Funeral Home, Inc., 134 W. Broadway, Red Lion. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family at Springville Cemetery.
