Donna M. (Enfield) Walker, of Red Lion, closed her eyes and accepted the hand of her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, November 15, 2022, at 10:15 pm from Wellspan York Hospital, at the age of 72. She is the wife of Jerry L. Walker, of Red Lion, to whom she married on January 9, 1969, celebrating 53 of marriage. She was born on November 17, 1949 and was the daughter of the late Luther Kye and Dorcas Lydia (Arnold) Enfield. Donna worked in the housekeeping department for both the Holiday Inn and the York Valley Inn. She loved talking with family and friends on the phone, texting, reading Facebook and working on crossword puzzles. But being with her family was what she liked the most. Donna and Jerry have three children, Kimberly S. Smith and her companion, James Edgell of Belington, WV, BethAnn Laughman of Red Lion and Cathy M. Grove and her husband Rodney of York. She was the loving grandmother to six grandchildren, Samantha Laughman, Andrew Laughman, Zachary Grove, Matthew Grove, Kylee Smith, Kelly Edgell, and three great grandchildren, Jayde Ramey, Scarlett Laughman, and Landon Laughman. Donna was one of five children with a bonus sister. She leaves her two sisters, Joanne Waltmire and her husband William of Red Lion and Debra Lantz and her husband Will of Lebanon, along with numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her two sons-in-law, Timothy A. Smith, and David Laughman, and her three sisters, Linda Troup, Paula Jane Enfield and Charlene Widrick. Family and friends are invited to share condolences and memories at the viewing on Tuesday, November 22, 2022, from 6-7 pm at Burg Funeral Home, Inc., 134 W. Broadway, Red Lion. A Service of Honor and Praise for Donna will begin at 7 pm at the funeral home with Pastor Jim Quoss, from The Freedom Biker Church, officiating. Burial will be private and take place at Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
