DonnaJean F. (Smelzter) Shoff, of Windsor, entered into eternal rest after a lengthy illness on Sat., March 19th at 2 pm at her residence, surrounded by loving family at the age of 75. She was the wife of the late Preston L. Shoff, Sr. who entered into rest on June 12, 2014. Born in Lower Windsor Township on March 4, 1941 and she was the daughter of the late Lafean and Cozy V. (Snyder) Smeltzer Frey. DonnaJean was a seamstress, working at different sewing factories in the area, but most of her life was spent being a homemaker, taking care of her husband and children. She leaves to cherish her memory, a daughter, Debbie V. Schrum of Windsor and husband Randy. Two sons, Preston L. Shoff, Jr. of Felton and wife Irene and Dennis E. Shoff of Petersburg, WV and wife Dottie.Four grandchildren, Randy Schrum, Jr, Sarah Schrum, Michael Schrum and Loretta Hoover. Eight great grandchildren, Addisyn and Gracyn Hoover, Daija Carr, Jayden Schrum, Randy and Scarlet Schrum, Maxine Schrum and Gabriella Merkel. A sister, Gale J. Seager of Felton, several nieces and nephews and her beloved dog, Shivers. Viewing for Donna Jean will be on Wed. March 23rd from 6-7 pm at Burg Funeral Home, Inc., 134 W. Broadway, Red Lion followed by a Service of Honor and Praise , to begin at 7 pm on Wed at the funeral home. Rev. Steven A. Schmuck, pastor of Red Lion Bible Church will officiate. Family and friends are invited to meet on Thursday, March 24th at Windsor Cemetery at 10 AM for the commital service. DonnaJean was a wonderful Mother and Grandmother, who enjoyed the times she was able to spend with her family, taking care of them. She enjoyed Bluegrass music and dancing, playing cards and going to the beach. A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands now rest, God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best.
