She was born in Everett, PA on April 2, 1922 and was the daughter of the late George Washington and Mary Marie (Mellott) Clark. Dot was the owner and operator of the Strayer AG Grocery Store in Winterstown. A longtime and very active member of the Winterstown United Methodist Church where she was a member of the United Methodist Women, sang in the choir and was a former Kindergarten teacher. She enjoyed gathering with friends at church to participate in the annual candy making for the Senior Youth project. She was a Den Mother for the Cub Scouts, and was a member of the Christ Lutheran Church, Quilting Sewing Group since 1987 in Dallastown. Dot leaves her son, Dick M. Viewing for Dot will be on Monday, June 12, 2017 from 1-2 pm at Winterstown United Methodist Church, 12184 Winterstown Road, Felton. A Service of Honor and Praise for Dot will begin at 2 pm at the church with her pastor, Rev. Mitchell M. Galloway officiating. Burial will follow at Winterstown EV Cemetery. Burg Funeral Home, Inc., 134 W. Broadway, Red Lion will be assisting the family with the arrangements. Dot was a very fun and loving person who enjoyed being around others. She loved to mow her lawn on her riding mower, crochet and every Friday, she would gather up her friends and they would all go to the hairdresser. But her greatest love was her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Do not stand at my grave and weep, I am not there, I do not sleep. I am the soft stars that shine at night. Do not stand at my grave and cry, I am not there, I did not cry. Love Mom and Grandma. In lieu of flowers contributions may be offered to Winterstown United Methodist Church, 12184 Winterstown Road, Felton, PA 17322.
