E. Mae (Grove) Grove, 94, entered into rest after a lengthy illness on Tuesday, July 3, 2012, at 3:18 a.m. at Manor Care South. She was the wife of Paul L. Grove of Red Lion, whom she married on June 21, 1941, celebrating 71 years together. Born in Chanceford Twp on March 16, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Clinton O. and Sara M. (Wise) Grove. She was a seamstress at the former Red Lion Manufacturing Factory. Mrs. Grove was a lifetime and very active member of Bethany United Methodist Church in Felton. She enjoyed gardening, sewing and loved spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by a son, Max E. Grove of New Park, and wife Amy; daughter, Lucy J. Heymann of Hilton Head Island, S.C., and husband Ronnie; four grandchildren, Angela Boose of Spring Grove, Kate Stine of New Park, John Grove of Windsor and Sara Snyder of Red Lion; two great-grandchildren, Allyson and Tyler Stine and one great-great-grandson, Chance Boose; three sisters, Zelda Grove, Arlene Warner and Fern Workinger all of Red Lion; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Jan G. Grove in 2010; and by six brothers and two sisters. Viewing will be 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday at Bethany United Methodist Church, 121 W. Broadway, Red Lion. Burg Funeral Home, Inc., 134 W. Broadway, Red Lion, will be handling the arrangements. Service will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Bethany UM Church in Red Lion, with her pastor, the Rev. Christine C. Freeman, officiating. Burial will be in Zion Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be offered to Bethany UM Church, 49 High St., Felton, PA 17322.
