IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Edward Paul
Wellesley Tabor
August 8, 1968 – June 14, 2025
Edward Paul Wellesley Tabor, age 56, of Red Lion, PA, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 14, 2025. Born in Wilmington, DE, on August 8, 1968, he was the beloved son of Sandra Joan (Steil) Tabor and the late Ian Tabor. He was the devoted husband of Katie (Warner) Tabor; the two were united in marriage on 12/13/14, a date as special and unique as their love.
Known simply as "Ed" to family and friends, he was a compassionate and dedicated nurse. He began his career after graduating from the Cecil Community College School of Nursing and later earned his B.S.N. from the University of Maryland. Ed spent many years caring for others at The Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD, where he worked on the Neuro Floor with skill and empathy. Later, he served as a Nurse Case Manager for Windham Group, assisting those navigating workers' compensation claims.
Outside of work, Ed found joy in life's simple pleasures. He was a proud amateur ham radio operator and a faithful member of Bethlehem Stonepile Church in Red Lion. He had a deep appreciation for classic rock and country music, and he could often be found tinkering with his treasured Grasshopper lawn mower. But above all, Ed was a family man — endlessly proud of and devoted to his daughter, Lauren, who brought light to his every day.
In addition to his wife, Katie; his daughter, Lauren; and his mother, Sandra, Ed leaves behind a loving family who will miss him dearly: his brothers, Daniel Tabor, Jonathan Tabor and his wife Melissa, and Benjamin Tabor and his companion Heather; his sister, Karen Tabor; as well as many cherished nieces, nephews, and friends.
A celebration of Ed's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at Bethlehem Stonepile Church, 250 Bethlehem Church Road, Red Lion, with Pastor Bryant Holtzapple officiating. Interment will follow in the adjoining cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that memorial contributions be made in Ed's honor to Autism York at www.autismyork.org.
