Esper J. Heigle of Dover entered into rest after a lengthy illness on Wednesday, September 1, 2010, at 1:45 a.m. at Spring Creek Nursing Home in Harrisburg at the age of 77. He was the husband of Elaine M. (Furney) Heigle. Esper was born in Sherburne, NY on March 5, 1933 and was the son of the late Charles and Hayphia Heigle He was a correctional officer at Florida State Corrections (formerly Hendry).He served in the Army during the Korean conflict. In addition to his wife Elaine of Dover, he is survived by a daughter, Deana M. (Heigle) Miller and husband Anthony of Dover, 3 granddogs, Boo, Harley, and Lucky; a sister Hazel Hapanowiz of Ohio; a brother, John Heigle of MO, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Mitchel M. Heigle. There will be no viewing. Cremation will take place with Burg Funeral Home, Inc., 134 W. Broadway, Red Lion. Family and friends are invited to extend their condolences on Monday, September 6 from 6-7 p.m. with a memorial service at 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
