IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Evelyn Louise
(Fink) Snyder
July 18, 1932 – April 18, 2025
Evelyn L. (Fink) Snyder, of Red Lion, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, April 18, 2025, at 3:00 am. She was 92 years old. Evelyn was the devoted wife of the late Charles C. Snyder, with whom she shared 58 years of marriage before his passing on September 1, 2014.
Born on July 18, 1932, in Springvale, Evelyn was the daughter of the late Paul C. and Delores E. (Reigart) Fink. She graduated from Red Lion High School and retired from Gohn Brothers Service Center after 28 years of service. A woman of deep faith and generous spirit, Evelyn was a lifetime member of Springvale Church, where she dedicated four decades to teaching Sunday School. Her commitment to the church extended further, as she also served as the Youth Fellowship Leader, sang in the church choir, and supported many church functions over the years. Beyond her church involvement, Evelyn was also active in the community. She was
a proud member of the Brogue Lioness Club and a dedicated participant in the Order of the Amaranth. Evelyn was a 30+ year member of the Muddy Creek Forks Preservation Society. Evelyn found great joy in her family and cherished time spent with her loved ones. She was especially proud of her grandsons and was their biggest supporter, rarely missing a football or basketball game. She was an enthusiastic sports fan, always cheering on her favorite teams: the Baltimore Orioles and the San Francisco 49ers. In her later years, Evelyn found peace and enjoyment in observing wildlife.
She is survived by her son, Ricky A. Snyder, of Red Lion; her two grandsons: Ethan T. Snyder, along with his companion Jen, of Hanover; and Nathan P. Snyder and his wife, Abigail, of Red Lion. Evelyn is also survived by her siblings: Carl Fink and his wife, Kathy, and Ken Fink and his wife, Treva, all of Red Lion; as well as her sister, Joyce Rawlings, of Dallastown. She leaves behind a large and loving extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. Evelyn was preceded in death by her son, Thomas E. Snyder; her brother, Jim Fink and Larry Fink; and her sister, Darlene Craley.
Family and friends are invited to attend a viewing for Evelyn on Saturday, April 26, 2025, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Springvale Church, 265 Circle Drive, Red Lion, PA 17356.
