Obituary

Fae M. (Grim) Roth, of Red Lion, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, July 19, 2026, at the age of 95, with her loving daughter by her side. Fae was the devoted wife of the late Kenneth M. Roth, who preceded her in death on March 21, 2021.

Born on April 16, 1931, in Dallastown, Fae entered the world in the very home her father built. She was the daughter of the late Ralph Abraham Grim and Bessie Elizabeth (Grove) Grim. A proud graduate of Dallastown High School's Class of 1950, Fae began her career as a bookkeeper for the Red Lion Cabinet Company. After welcoming her daughter, she embraced her role as a full-time homemaker, dedicating herself wholeheartedly to her family.

Fae found great joy in caring for those around her, and nowhere was that more evident than in her kitchen. She was an exceptional cook who was well known for her Pennsylvania Dutch-style chicken and waffles and her famous homemade fudge. She loved spending time tending to her flower gardens. She especially loved red geraniums and Stargazer lilies. In her younger years, Fae also enjoyed dancing, especially jitterbugging. Above all, Fae treasured her family which was most important to her. Her love will live on in the memories and caring nature she shared with her family. She was a lifelong member of St. Paul's Church of Red Lion. For several years she was a Brownie Girl Scout Leader at St. Paul’s Troop 551. She was also a member of the Order of the Amaranth – Dr. J.M. Hyson Memorial Court.

Fae is survived by her daughter, Nan L. Horne and her husband, Bradley; her cherished grandchildren, Leanne M. Bailey and Jared M. Bailey and his wife, Brianna; and her beloved great-grandchildren, Marlee F. Minnich, Karsyn J. Bailey, Barrett W. Bailey, and Brody L. Bailey. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Nancy R. Grim, along with many cherished nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, Fae was preceded in death by her eight siblings: Glenwood Grim (Ruth), Erma Tyson (Vernon), Hilda Eyster (Lloyd), Quentin Grim (Donalene), Treva Blouse (Weldon), Hillard Grim, Flo Hoffman (Dick), and Phyllis Seitz (Terry).

A viewing will be held on Monday, July 27, 2026, from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at Wagner-Elfner and Burg Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 3070 Cape Horn Road, Red Lion. A funeral service celebrating Fae's life will begin at 11:00 am, officiated by Pastor Chris Nauta. Burial will immediately follow in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens.
