Jones DOVER Fairie R. (Glatfelter) Markey Jones, 95, entered into rest on Thursday, January 19, 2012, at 2:15 a.m., at the residence of her daughter, Barbara and son-in-law, Jimmie. She was the wife of the late William Jones, who entered into rest in December of 1978. She was born in York on March 28, 1916, and was the daughter of the late Samuel and Hattie (Amspacher) Glatfelter. Fairie worked at the House of Windsor, retiring in 1978 after many years of service. She was a faithful member of Lighthouse Baptist Church in Dover for seven years. She is survived by one son, Keith E. Markey and his wife Carol of Columbus, Ohio; two daughters, Dixie L. Andres and her husband Patrick of Rowlette, Texas and Barbara A. Smith and her husband Jimmie of Dover; three grandchildren, Tony Santilli, Kimberly Woodring, and Keith A. Markey; six great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters. A viewing will be held Wednesday from 10 to 11 a.m. at Lighthouse Baptist Church, 5005 Carlisle Rd., Dover 17315. The service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church with her pastor, Rev. Dr. Sterling E. Walsh, officiating. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. Burg Funeral Home, Inc., 134 W. Broadway, Red Lion, is handling the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be offered to Lighthouse Baptist Church, 5005 Carlisle Rd., Dover, PA 17315, or to White Rose Hospice, 1412 Sixth Ave., York, PA 17403. Fairie was a wonderful mother and grandmother. She loved spending time with her family and never missed family gatherings. Long rides in the country and flowers were things she enjoyed. She will be sadly missed by everyone.
