Frayer "Jamie" R. Jamison, of Yoe, went to his eternal home at the age of 92 at Inner's Creek Nursing and Rehabilitation Center on Friday, May 26, 2023. He was the husband of Vivian Luella (Hoover) Jamison to whom he married on June 24, 1950, sharing 72 years of marriage. He was born in Red Lion on November 17, 1930 to the late John Jamison and Mildred Stewart. Frayer was a bricklayer by trade and was the past president of Bricklayers & Allied Craftworkers Local 16. A dedicated runner for more than 40 years and a charter member of the York Road Runner's Association, Frayer raced in 11 marathons, including the Harrisburg, Gettysburg and Maine Corps Marathons. He enjoyed staying active and was an avid biker, logging several thousand miles on the Rail Trail with friends and family. He also enjoyed target shooting and was a proud lifetime member of the NRA and York Rifle Range Association. He was a member of Gold's Gym where he was regularly involved and was a leader of BSA Troop 53 in Yoe, the oldest life member of Yoe Fire Department, a past member of Yoe Borough Council, the Dallastown/Yoe Water Authority and Craley Fish and Game Association. He was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church for more than 70 years. Besides his wife, he leaves his son, Steven R. Jamison and wife, Cathy of York, his two daughters, Lori J. Domer and husband, Doug of Penrose, Colorado and Joleen L. Cole and husband, Greg of Concord, California. He will be missed by his nine grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. He leaves his brother, Levere Hostler and wife, Dorothy of Newton, Massachusetts and sister, Nedra Nonemaker and husband, Barry of York along with numerous nieces and nephews. A viewing and time to visit with the family will take place at St. Paul's United Methodist Church, 45 1st Avenue, Red Lion on Saturday, June 3rd from 11:30 to 12:30. A funeral service for Frayer will begin at 12:30 with his pastor, Rev. Chris Nauta, officiating. Burial will take place at Susquehanna Memorial Gardens following the service. Wagner-Elfner and Burg Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 134 W. Broadway, Red Lion is assisting the family with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Paul's United Methodist Church, 45 1st Avenue, Red Lion, PA 17356.
