WINDSOR Gail L. (Boyles) Marcum went to be with the Lord after a long battle with cancer on Thursday, August 9, 2012 at 9 a.m. at Manor Care South at the age of 67. She was the wife of William R. Marcum, Jr. who died in 1974. Born in Baltimore, Md. on January 20, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Robert M. and Grace P. (Markel) Boyles. She retired from Kelly, Inc. in York and was an avid bowler. Gail is survived by two stepsons, Charles Marcum of Maryland and William R. Marcum of Virginia; three grandchildren, Tabitha Ruckman and Alex Stokes both of Windsor and Billy Ruckman of Westminster, Md.; and son-in-law, Michael P. Stokes of Windsor. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Martha M. Stokes on November 25, 2011. A viewing will be from 6 to 7 p.m. Monday at Burg Funeral Home, Inc., 134 W. Broadway, Red Lion. The funeral service will be 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home with Rev. David D. Tieje, pastor of St. John's UCC in Red Lion officiating. Burial will be private at Garden of Faith Cemetery in Baltimore, Md., at the convenience of the family.
