Obituary

Gary M. Devor, of Dallastown, left his earthly life and began his new eternal life with his Lord and Savior on May 6, 2021, at 12:48 AM, surrounded by his loving family at his residence at the age of 86. He was the husband of Patricia Ann (Kaschak) with whom his spent 43 years of marriage before her passing on December 23, 2016. He was born in Baltimore, Maryland on October 16, 1934 and was the son of the late Harold K. and Adeleda (Brinton) Devor. Gary was a tire builder with the former Chenault Tire Company in Baltimore for 25 years. He was Christian of the United Methodist faith. In his earlier years he enjoyed crabbing and fishing. He was an avid Baltimore Ravens fan, but enjoyed all football. He loved spending time with his family with whom he had a very close relationship. Gary was a wonderful person who was a friend to all who knew and loved his. He had the best sense of humor, always making people laugh and smile, but his legacy will be remembered as the person who was very caring and would always put the needs of others before the needs of his own. He was a genuine, kind and very caring man with the best personality and will be greatly missed by many. Gary leaves his four children, Troy S. Devor and his fiancé Dawn Woody of Dallastown, Vernon R. Baker of Felton, Brian K. Devor and Mary of Stewartstown and Carol Virgilio of Maryland. He was the loving grandfather to numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. One of thirteen children, Gary leaves his siblings, Ronald "Buster" Devor of Shrewsbury, Larry Devor of Shrewsbury, Dennis Devor of Manchester, Danny Devor of Stewartstown and Lillian Vogtman of Baltimore, Maryland, along with many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by 8 siblings. Cremation will take place with Burg Funeral Home, Inc., 134 W. Broadway, Red Lion. A Memorial Service to Honor and Praise both Gary and Patricia will be scheduled at a later date. Burial will be private and at the convenience to the family. The moment you left us, our heart's split in two. One filled with memories; the other side died with you.
