George N. Fillmore, Jr. of York entered into eternal rest on September 6th, at York Hospital at the age of 80.
He was the husband of Harriet M. (Weaver) Fillmore to whom he married on October 15, 1954, celebrating 61 years together. George was born on August 31, 1936 in York, and was the son of the late George N., Sr. and Florence E. (Dietz) Fillmore.
He worked as a salesman at Thos. Somerville Co. in heating and plumbing for many years. He was a lifetime member of Ebenezer Baptist Church.
George is survived by his wife Harriet of York; 6 children, Debra Urey of Luray, VA; Mahlon Fillmore and his wife Karen of Shrewsbury; Larry Fillmore and his wife Beverly of York; Mark Fillmore and his wife Ruth Ann of Red Lion; Bart Fillmore of Luray, VA; Mike Fillmore of Liberty, KY; 13 grandchildren, Angie Urey, Josh Urey, Dwayne Fillmore, Adam Fillmore, Audrea Kitchen, Matthew Fillmore, Jennifer Fillmore, Jessica Arnold, Julie Ulery, Jeremy Fillmore, Josiah Fillmore, Joshua Fillmore, Jonathan Fillmore; 22 great grandchildren; 3 sisters, Ladonna Barshinger, Nancy Whary, and Mary Parker; numerous nieces & nephews.
There will be no viewing. A Memorial Service of Honor and Praise for George will be on Friday Sept. 9th at 11am at Ebenezer Baptist Church; Bull Run Rd. & Fishing Creek Rd. Wrightsville, PA 17368 with his son, Pastor Mark Fillmore officiating.
Burial will be at Susquehanna Memorial Gardens with a Graveside Service on Sept. 9th at 2:00PM, if attending please meet in the main entrance at 1:45PM.

George enjoyed hunting, horses, farming and watching professional wrestling. He was a witness for the Lord and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
