Gerald L. 'Lynn' Eckenrode. 65, entered into rest on Saturday, September 18, 2010, at his residence. He was the husband to Judy Mae (Hilt) Eckenrode, with whom he celebrated 7 years of marriage.He was born in York, on June 15, 1945, the son of the late Richard and Barbara Eckenrode. He was a self employed boom truck driver for York Building Products. He was a member of Living Word Community Church and a member of the Vietnam Veteran Coalition. He enjoyed working on cars and antique trucks, and was an avid NASCAR fan. In addition to his wife, Judy of Red Lion, he is survived by his children, Gerald Lynn Eckenrode, Jr. and wife, Kerrie of Red Lion, Jody McGeachy and husband, Dave of Georgia, Sue Ann Chirchello and husband, Lou of East Prospect, Melissa Burdette and husband, Kirk of York, Donald Heilman and wife, Jennifer of Dover, Tabatha Heilman and husband, Bryon Molina of York; 13 grandchildren, Joseph, Sarah, Jordan, Isabella, Dakota, Jake, Brooke, Elizabeth, Gage, Abby, Alyssa, Treyvor, and Emilee; a great-granddaughter, Jazmin; a brother, Tim Eckenrode of York; two sisters, Sheila Gaskins and husband, Bill of Florida and Gloria Minnich and husband, Eli of Harrisburg; and a sister-in-law, Phyllis Eckenrode. He was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Eckenrode. Viewings will be 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday and 9 to 10 a.m. Friday at Burg Funeral Home, Inc., 134 W. Broadway, Red Lion. The service will begin at 10 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home, with his brother-in-law, David Hilt, officiating. Burial will be at Mount Rose Cemetery.
