Harold D. "Donnie" Waltemyer, 85, of Brogue, passed away at his home on Wednesday, November 26, 2025. He was the husband of the late Bertha "Bertie" M. (Miller) Waltemyer, who preceded him in death on July 15, 2014.

Born in Lower Chanceford Township on December 1, 1939, Donnie was the son of the late Adam Roland "Ben" and Beulah E. (Ewing) Waltemyer. Throughout his life, he enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially deer hunting, fishing, and birds of all kinds, and he loved attending local auctions. He was employed by Campbell Chain for nearly 40 years and retired in 2001. He attended Bethel United Methodist Church.

Donnie is survived by his sons, Samuel H. Waltemyer and his wife, Nancy E. Waltemyer, of Red Lion, and Kenneth D. Waltemyer, of Brogue. He is also survived by his beloved grandson, Samuel B. Waltemyer, of Red Lion. In addition, he leaves behind his sister, Annie Kauffman, and his brother, James Waltemyer, both of Brogue, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sisters Merle E. Shelley, Blanche A. Dehoff, Evelyn T. Kauffman, Ruth W. Rehmeyer, and Norrie B. Runkle.

Family and friends are invited to attend viewings for Donnie on Thursday, December 4, 2025, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, and on Friday, December 5, 2025, from 9:00 to 10:00 am at Wagner-Elfner and Burg Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 134 W. Broadway, Red Lion. A funeral service will follow the Friday viewing at 10:00 am, officiated by Pastor Beth Holz. Interment will follow at Bethel Cemetery in Brogue.
