IsoDean J. (Shenk) Smeltzer, formerly of York, went home to her Lord and Savior on Saturday, October 12, 2019 at 3:40 AM. She was the loving wife of the late George R. Smeltzer who entered into rest on November 1, 1989. IsoDean was the daughter of the late Benjamin W. and Esther Jane (Stitely) Shenk. She graduated from Dallastown High School. IsoDean was a self-employed beautician for many years. She was a member of the Christ Lutheran Church in Shrewsbury. IsoDean loved sewing, quilting and being with her family. She was a friend to everyone and loved by all who knew her. She will be greatly missed. She has one daughter, IsoDean N. Mitzel, of York, a son, Brian P. Smeltzer; five grandchildren, Nicole Musser of Duncannon, Ashley Morris of VA, Matthew and Aaron Mitzel of York, and Lauren Smeltzer of York Springs; 5 great grandchildren, Maddyson Musser, Kaylee Musser, Jaxson Musser, Troy Pina and Sophie Pina, a sister, Betty Engle of Windsor, along with several nieces and nephews. IsoDean was preceded in death by a grandson, Jamie Smeltzer in 2008 and a brother, H. Robert Shenk. A Graveside Service of Honor and Praise for IsoDean will be on Saturday, October 19th at 11:00 AM at Christ Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery, 105 S. Main St, Shrewsbury, with Pastor Roy Smith, of Shrewsbury Gospel Temple, officiating. A time to share memories will begin at 10:30 am, meeting at the cemetery until the start of the service.
