James "Jim" W. Delp, of Felton, passed away on Saturday, September 3, 2022, at his residence at the age of 82. He was the husband of the late Yourtha "Yogi" M. (Baker) Delp, who passed on October 28, 2021, with whom he spent 27 years of marriage. He was born in Ashland, West Virginia on May 22, 1940, and was the son of the late Baynerd N. and Irene R. (Lawless) Delp. James was employed at the Social Security Administration in Baltimore, Maryland for 22 years. He was also employed at the former Greer/Sammis Chevrolet as a salesman for four years. He was an avid woodworker for many years. James loved fishing, hunting, and country music. He graduated from Stoco High School in Coal City, West Virginia, class of 1958. James is survived by his daughter, Donna McDonough, of Somerset, New Jersey, and his grandchildren, John, Jillian, Lynsey, and Faith, also of New Jersey. Cremation will take place with Burg Funeral Home, Inc., 134 W. Broadway, Red Lion. A private memorial service will be held for family and friends at a later date.
