Jennings "Kent" Kenton Ward, II entered into rest unexpectedly on Saturday, January 12, 2013 at 11:50 a.m. at his residence at the age of 35. Born in Prestons-burg, Ky. on June 11, 1977, he was the son of Jennings K. and Gloria J. (Cardiel) Ward of York. Kent was a Chef. He loved to cook for his family. Kent was a wonderful Father to his children and his family was very important to him. Besides his parents, he is survived by his four children: Arissa Katelyn Ward and Nicholas Kenton Ward, both of Harrisburg and Hallie Alexis Ward and Jennings Kenton Ward, III; a sister, Dana Michele Eberly and her husband Steven of York; a brother, John Ashley Ward of York; a niece, Carley Grace Ward; two nephews, Evan Kenton Eberly and John Ashley Ward, Jr. all of York; aunts and uncles. There will be no viewing. Cremation will take place with Burg Funeral Home, Inc., 134 W. Broadway, Red Lion. Family and friends are invited to extend their condolences on Thursday from 6 to 7 p.m., followed by a memorial service at 7 p.m., at the funeral home. Rev. James E. Ward, retired pastor of Faith Fellowship in York will officiate. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
