Obituary

Jerry Krebs Grove, of Red Lion, left this world surrounded by love during the early morning hours on Saturday, May 18, 2024 at the age of 71. He said all his goodbyes and completed his tasks before closing his final chapter.

Jerry was born in York on March 25, 1953 to the late Nevin S. and Audrey R. (Krebs) Grove. He graduated from Susquehannock High School and was a Production & Inventory Control Specialist with Gichner Shelter Systems. Jerry was a passionate golfer and enjoyed time on many local courses. His wishes are to have some of his cremated remains spread in the bunkers, as he said that's where he spent most of his time while on the golf course. He loved riding his bike, putting together puzzles and will be fondly remembered for his love of baking cheesecakes of all styles. He enjoyed cheering on PSU on Saturdays and the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sundays.

He will be dearly missed by his son, David S. Grove and wife, Allyson of Red Lion and daughter, Jeri-Lyn M. Grove and husband, Ben of Felton. He leaves his grandchildren, Olivia L. Harris, Landen B. Grove, and Olivia M. Grove. He leaves his siblings, Judy Flemmens and husband, Larry of Glen Rock and Jeff Grove and wife, Lois of Loganville, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Jerry's wishes were to be cremated and for his friends & family to gather at a later date to celebrate his life. Wagner-Elfner and Burg Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 134 W. Broadway, Red Lion is assisting the family with arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, Jerry's wishes were that donations be made in his memory to Muscular Dystrophy Family Foundation, PO Box 776, Carmel, IN, 46032.
