Jerry L. Pickel, of Windsor, went from this life to eternal life on Sunday, September 25, 2022, at 1:35 pm, from Wellspan York Hospital at the age of 76. He was the son of the late Earl C. and Erma R. (Uffleman) Pickel. Jerry was born in York on July 17, 1946. He attended Red Lion High School, graduating in the Class of 1964. After high school, he received an associate degree in Forestry at Penn State Mount Alto Campus and worked for Buchart Horn for 39 years, prior to his retirement. He attended Grace Lutheran Church in Red Lion and was a former member of Ducks Unlimited. Jerry was also a Trapper, belonging to the Trapper's Association and was very instrumental in forming the Keystone Institute for Furbearer Education Foundation. He is survived by his brother, Jan R. Pickel and his wife Debra of New Park, PA. And was the uncle to Jacob Pickel and his wife Kristen of Millsboro, DE and Samuel Pickel of New Park, and the great uncle to Gracyn Rae Pickel of Millsboro, DE.
