On October 20, 2018, Jessica Edwards of York, PA passed away. She was only 30 years old. She was the daughter of Kathryn Edwards and the late Jeffrey Edwards who passed away on October 24, 2016. She leaves behind a brother, Erik and an Uncle Pete. Jessica was a beautiful person inside and out. A caring, smart, loving soul. She was always there for those who needed her. Jessica was a graduate of Dallastown High School. Her passion was food, therefore she entered into the culinary world. She was accepted to the CIA and Johnson and Wales, two prestigious schools, but decided to attend the York Technical Institute to be closer to her family. She received degrees in the culinary and baking/pastry arts programs. She worked at numerous restaurants in York, including Mexitaly where she was employed for many years. Jessica had just started a new job at the Silver Lake Inn in Lewisbury, PA before she passed. In her spare time Jessica loved to cook, enjoyed going out to eat, trying new restaurants and returning to her favorites. What she loved best was spending time with her family, friends and boyfriend Nick. She loved watching movies and reading books of all kinds. She was also artistically talented. She loved shopping for clothes and getting tattoos, of which she had many. She loved to laugh and was always sharing with us a comedy bit she had watched and thought we would enjoy too. Her time here on earth ended too soon. She was loved by many and will be missed for evermore, as we try to move on with sadness in our hearts, focusing on the good times and memories. Jessica leaves her maternal grandparents Judith and Henry Geller of Washington DC, and two uncles Peter Geller of York, and Gregory Edwards and his wife Margaret and their two children Martin and Rebecca of Charlottesville, VA. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents Joe and Dorothy Edwards of Richmond, VA. There will be no viewing. Cremation will take place at Burg Funeral Home, Inc., 134 West Broadway, Red Lion, PA. On November 17, from 1:00 to 4:00 friends and family are invited to attend a remembrance of Jessica to honor and share memories of her.
