John R. Keeney, of Seven Valleys, entered into rest on his farm on Monday, April 1, 2024 at the age of 51. He was the husband of the late Bethany L. (Keeny) Keeney who died on June 21, 2015.

John was born in York on August 28, 1972 to Randal E. and Darlene A. (Sipe) Keeney of Seven Valleys.

He graduated from Shrewsbury Dunkard School and farmed with his father. He was passionate about farming and loved tractors of all kinds. John enjoyed going for long drives, waterfalls and spending his free time fishing.

Besides his parents, John is survived by nine children: Hannah Beth Hoffman (Jordan), Jonathan Andrew Keeney, Devon Wade Keeney (Danielle), Galen Randal Keeney, Heidi Michele Martin (Steven), Ginger Nicole Keeney, Holly Noelle Keeney, Aydin Patrick Keeney, and Cameron Riley Keeney.  He leaves his grandchildren, Pemberly Rose Hoffman and Bethany Raelynn Martin as well as his brothers, Samuel and Andrew Keeney, and sisters, Rebecca Stuber, Jennifer Chupp, Amy Mummert, Julie Sweitzer, and Emily Eberly.

Viewings for John will take place on Thursday, April 4, 2024 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Grace Church, 473 Plank Road, New Freedom, PA 17349 and Friday, April 5, 2024 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am with a funeral service beginning at 11:00 am. Pastor Robert Lehigh will be officiating. Burial will follow in Dunkard Brethren Cemetery.
