JonLuca Seraphin
Sementa
Mar 23, 2015 — Sep 30, 2026
Red Lion
JonLuca Seraphin Sementa, of Red Lion, formerly of Cockeysville, entered into rest on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, at Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, surrounded by the love of his parents. He was 11 years old.
Born in Maryland on March 23, 2015, JonLuca was the son of Joseph Anthony and Alina Maria (Kartley) Sementa. He had recently started sixth grade at Dallastown Intermediate School, where he quickly made friends.
JonLuca loved spending time with his younger sister, Sofia, and tagging along with his dad to run errands, especially when a stop at Chick-fil-A was involved. French fries were a favorite. He loved his Nike Air Force 1s, playing Roblox and Fortnite, and playing outside. His taste in music covered a little bit of everything, from Juice WRLD to the Eagles and the Beatles, with a special love for old-school rap. His favorite colors were red and blue.
Through the selfless gift of organ and tissue donation, JonLuca gave others the chance to see, breathe, heal, and live. His gifts included his corneas, lungs, heart, liver, pancreas, and long bones, bringing hope to other families even as his own faced an unimaginable loss.
The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the nurses and doctors at Hershey Medical Center, especially Chloe, Jared, Ashley, Liv, and Dr. Kelly Pierce, for the care, kindness, and love they showed JonLuca and his family over the last several weeks.
In addition to his parents, JonLuca leaves his sister, Sofia Sementa; his brothers, Joseph Sementa, Julian Sementa, and Jaidon Kartley; and his maternal grandparents, Michael and Maria Kartley. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Bill “Pop Pop” and Gloria “Mom-Mom” Sementa, who adored him.
Family and friends are invited to attend a viewing and share memories of JonLuca on Friday, October 9, 2026, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Wagner-Elfner and Burg Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 3070 Cape Horn Road, Red Lion. A second viewing will take place at the funeral home on Saturday, October 10, 2026, from 10:00 am until noon, followed by a service to remember JonLuca’s life. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
