Josephine L. (Lloyd) Walker, 92, entered into rest on Thursday, June 6, 2013 at 7:05 pm at Manor Care-South. She was the wife of Leon W. Walker who entered into rest on January 2, 2000. She was born in Muddy Creek Forks, on July 19, 1920, and was the daughter of the late Myles E. Sr. and Ida (Howett) Lloyd. Josephine was a homemaker. She was a longtime member of Emmanuel United Methodist Church in Windsor, where she sang in the choir and was very active in the United Methodist Women. Surviving are one son, Timothy L. Walker and wife, Margaret of York; two daughters, Judith W. Butcher and husband, Morgan of Indialantic, Fla, and Pamila J. Dierdorff and husband, Donald of Mt. Wolf; six grandchildren, Erik Harr and wife, Jennifer of Mt. Wolf, Matthew Dierdorff of Jupiter, Fla., Christopher Dierdorff and wife, Carrie of Edmond, Okla., Daniel Dierdorff of Mt. Wolf, Erin Walker of York, and Benjamin Walker of York; one step granddaughter, Beth O'May and husband, David of Rochester, N.Y.; two great-grandchildren, Mackenzie and Ethan Harr; three step great grandchildren, Marley, Jakob, and Tavish O'May; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two infant daughters, Connie Lee and Linda Lou; three sisters, Elizabeth Hunt, Beatrice Ehrhart, and Mabel Flinchbaugh; and two brothers, Harry E. Lloyd and Myles E. Lloyd, Jr. There will be no viewing. Cremation will take place with Burg Funeral Home, Inc., 134 W. Broadway, Red Lion. Family and friends are invited to extend their condolences on Tuesday, June 11, from 1 to 2 p.m. at the funeral home. A graveside service to celebrate Josephine's life will take place at Red Lion Cemetery. Her pastor, Butch Snyder, will officiate. Josephine was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family. As a young lady she and her family, the Lloyds, traveled to various York County churches and would sing. She was Judge of Elections in Windsor and a former Girl Scout leader.
