Joyce A. (Lukens) Berger of Airville entered into rest on August 24, 2010, at 2:20pm at her home surrounded by her loving family at the age of 78. She is the wife of the late Guy A. Berger who entered into rest on February 21, 1985 Joan was born on July 26, 1932 in Duncannon, Perry County and was the daughter of the late Herman A. and Margaret M. (Simonton) Lukens She was a Certified Nursing Assistant Supervisor at the former Leader's Nursing Home and she also worked for the Pen-Mar Origination She will be sadly missed by her Children Allan Berger and wife Kathy of Airville Dawn Hedrick and husband Brian of York Lynne Lewis and Robert of Felton Kim Kucherer and husband David of Felton Guy Berger and wife Joyce of Felton Lori Watson and husband Jacob of Airville Susan Thorpe and husband William of York Karen Koons and husband Sheldon of Airville She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, 2 sisters Iren Morrison of Duncannon and Margaret Dubee of Lancaster, a brother Galen Lukens of Duncannon as well as Ron Dawson and Mary Miller and numerous nieces and nephews She is preceeded in death by her son, Steven Berger, a sister, Shirley Evans, and a brother Donald Luken. There will be no viewing. Cremation will take place with Burg Funeral Home, Inc. Family and friends are invited to offer their condolences on Monday, August 30, 2010 from 1-2pm at Burg Funeral Home, Inc., 134 W. Broadway, Red Lion.
