Katherine E. (Redmond) Shenberger, 77, died on Sunday, April 19, 2026, at her residence. She was the wife of the late Anthony E. Shenberger, who preceded her in death on October 20, 2023.

Katherine was born in York on August 21, 1948, daughter of the late Philip Redmond, Sr., and Anna (Guyer) Redmond.

Katherine worked as a nurse’s aide for Autumn House East. She was a member of the Red Lion VFW Post 1446 Ladies Auxiliary and the Red Lion American Legion Post 543 Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed shopping and loved animals, with a special fondness for dogs. Above all, Katherine cherished the time she spent with her family and grandchildren, creating lasting memories together. She especially enjoyed moments at the family cabin in Smithport and visits to her brother’s bungalow along the Susquehanna River.

She is survived by two daughters, Melissa “Missy” A. Frey and her husband, James, of Dover, and Constance A. Mann of Red Lion; two granddaughters, Chelsea L. Cortez of York and Lindsay B. Smith and her husband, Craig Smith, Jr., of Red Lion; one great-grandson, Conner A. Smith of Red Lion; one brother, Charles Redmond of Felton; one sister, Florence Cunningham and her husband, Glenn, of Felton; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by six siblings: Phyllis Roller, Linda Redmond, Robert Redmond, Mary McMillian, Philip Redmond, Jr., and Ruth Redmond.

Following cremation, services will be private at the convenience of the family.
