Kathryn M. "Peggy" (Horn) Rineholt, of Red Lion, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 8, 2025, at Inners Creek Nursing and Rehabilitation, at the age of 85. She was the beloved wife of the late Charles E. Rineholt, who preceded her in death on February 20, 2009.
Peggy was born on June 26, 1939, to the late Edward Peter and Emma M. (Hibner) Horn. Known affectionately by family and friends as "Peggy," she was a graduate of Dallastown High School. She began her career as a machine operator at the House of Windsor Cigar Company and later transitioned into retail management, where she worked for Rite Aid as a store manager for many years. She held a deep sense of pride in her lineage, with a particular reverence for her Indian heritage. She was a devoted member of Salem Christian Church.
She leaves behind her grandchildren: Shawn Rineholt, Christopher Toomey, Heather Toomey, and Selina Rineholt; and two great-grandchildren: Derek Fry and Liberty Dubbs. She is also survived by her daughter-in-law, Kimberly Rineholt, as well as many nieces and nephews. Peggy was preceded in death by her son, Shawn Rineholt; her daughter, Andrea Toomey; and her granddaughter, Angela Rineholt. She was also preceded in death by her siblings: Margaret Hibner, Thelma Horn, Mae Urey, Helen Harry, Peter Horn, Virgie Forry, and Pauline Waltemeyer.
Family and friends are invited to attend a viewing on Thursday, June 12, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Wagner-Elfner and Burg Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 134 W. Broadway, Red Lion. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM, officiated by Pastor Kevin L. Becker. After, Peggy will be laid to rest at Bethlehem Stonepile Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made in Peggy's honor to Salem Christian Church, 24 Franklin Street, Jacobus, PA 17407.
