Kelly Jo Miller, 53, of York, entered into rest unexpectedly on Thursday, May 14, 2015 at York Hospital. She was born in Columbia, on August 5, 1961 and was the daughter of Brenda (Miller) Smeltzer and Dale Smeltzer, of Windsor. She was a graduate of Red Lion Sr. High School. Kelly is survived by her mother, Brenda and husband, Dale, 3 children, Jala Henise and companion, Justin Steck of Mechanicsburg, Jovi Henise of Windsor, Jesa Miller of York; 3 grandchildren, Lillee May Yeckley of Mechanicsburg, Trentyn Douglas Dunlap of Windsor, Abram Henise of Mt. Wolf; a sister, Michelle Dunlap and husband, Stephen of Windsor; a nephew and niece, Zac and Bree Dunlap, both of Windsor; 3 uncles, Barry Miller of Punxsutawney , Tony and John Miller, both of Red Lion; her two cats Andy& Taylor; and her two birds Sunny & Easter. There will be no viewing. Cremation will take place with Burg Funeral Home, Inc., 134 W. Broadway, Red Lion. A time of visitation and fellowship with the family will be Saturday, May 30, 2015 from 1-2:00PM at St. Paul's United Methodist Church, 45 First Ave, Red Lion, PA. A Celebration of Life for Kelly will begin at 2:00PM on Saturday at the church with Pastor Tim A. Funk, pastor of St. Paul's United Methodist Church officiating.Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family at a later date.In Lieu of flowers, contributions may be offered to: York County SPCA; 3159 Susquehanna Trail North, York, PA 17406. Kelly was a loving daughter, mother and grandmother. She was good at drawing, loved arts and crafts, and writing poems and quotes in her journal. Kelly also enjoyed nature and celebrating Christmas.
